Job summary

Capital Health Medical Group seeks a Plastic Surgeon to deliver comprehensive evaluations, surgical and non-surgical care with outpatient, inpatient and ED involvement.

The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, requires board-certified/eligible Plastic Surgery credentials, and includes teaching opportunities and ongoing CME participation.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency in General Surgery.
  • Fellowship training in Plastic Surgery completed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluations and both surgical and non-surgical treatments.
  • Collaborate with orthopedic, radiology and hospital staff in care plans.
  • Document clinical encounters accurately in the EMR.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, guidelines and quality initiatives.
  • Educate residents, medical students and APPs; participate in CME.

Position Overview Pay Range: $500,000.00 - $1,227,000.00

Capital Health Medical Group is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to provide comprehensive evaluations, surgical and non-surgical treatments, and follow-up care for patients. This role includes outpatient clinic, inpatient consultative services, emergency call coverage, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Opportunity Details:
  • Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, primary care physicians, occupational/hand therapists, radiologists, and hospital staff.
  • Communicate treatment plans clearly with patients, families, and referring providers.
  • Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in the EMR.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and practice standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, morbidity & mortality conferences, and peer review as required.
  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines.
  • Provide education to residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers as appropriate.
  • Participate in continuing medical education and maintain board certification.
  • Attend departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative functions as assigned.
  • Assist in development of new clinical programs, care pathways, or service line growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Completion of an accredited residency in General Surgery
  • Completion of a fellowship in Plastic Surgery
  • Licensure & Certification Board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery
  • Active state medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA & CDS registration
  • Experience Fellowship-trained plastic surgeon; new graduates and experienced surgeons encouraged to apply.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Hospital, clinic, and operating room environments. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and standard surgical risks. Call responsibilities assigned.
