Banner Health invites applications for a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon with a sports medicine focus to join Banner Children's Specialists in the greater Phoenix area. You will provide pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine care and collaborate with subspecialists, with opportunities to build a sports medicine program for local high schools.

The role emphasizes a turnkey practice with supportive teams and a mission-driven organization, including a $30k sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited program.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery with Sports Medicine emphasis desirable or demonstrated pediatric sports focus.
• Fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine with pediatric emphasis acceptable.
• Arizona medical license obtained by start date.
• Newly fellowship trained physicians are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized surgical and non-surgical care for pediatric and adolescent sports injuries.
• Take general pediatric orthopedic emergency room call.
• Collaborate with regional sports teams.
• Maintain high standard of patient-centered care and clinical excellence in outpatient settings.

Education

BCS provides fully integrated pediatric services to the greater Phoenix area, with the clinic just steps away from the hospital, specialties and primary care offices. Join this thriving practice servicing the West Valley with the opportunity to be productive quickly and build a sports medicine program with the local high schools. Clinical responsibilities include general pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine care. This opportunity allows for close partnership with other well established pediatric subspecialists such as pediatric surgery as well as on-site pediatric hospitalist and intensivist coverage. Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. Degree from an accredited program
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency
• Completion of a Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery with additional Fellowship training in Sports Medicine is highly desirable or a demonstrated clinical emphasis on pediatric sports
• OR completion of Fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine with emphasis in pediatrics
• Arizona medical license obtained by start date
• Newly fellowship trained physicians are welcome to apply!
