Job Description

To plan, implement and evaluate the provision of high-quality medical care, with appropriate resource management, to children and adolescents in the respective clinical area.

The Emory University Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta are recruiting full‑time or part‑time board certified or board eligible pediatric radiologists to join our large pediatric radiology division at the Emory + Children’s Pediatric Institute.

New faculty members will join the Pediatric Radiology Body Division in a group of over 40 pediatric radiologists.

Academic or clinical tracks are available allowing individuals to focus on areas of interest. Full‑time or part‑time option available. Remote work option is available.

This position requires ~50% clinical effort dedicated to overnight work. We are looking to add to our pool of 7 nocturnal radiologists. Overnight radiologists work 7 nights followed by 14 days off.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have completed an ACGME‑accredited fellowship in pediatric radiology. Additionally, candidates must have completed, or be eligible to take, the ABR Subspecialty Exam (CAQ) in pediatric radiology. Applicants should be comfortable with interpretation of emergent pediatric neuroradiology CT studies in addition to pediatric radiology studies.

  • Employment will be through the Emory + Children’s Pediatric Institute, an affiliation between Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
  • Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience. Clinical and Academic tracks are available. Remote work options are available.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Children’s policies and procedures.
  • Participates in and incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice.
  • Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
  • Educate and assist trainees with medical decision making.
  • Provides an authenticated report of all physician services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner.
  • Completes necessary documentation and ensures timely communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
  • Actively responds to patient and clinical staff questions and requests.
  • Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area.
  • Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete, and maintain certification in BLS, PALS, or NALS and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.
  • Performs other responsibilities as required.
