Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Pathologist for a 4-week locum tenens assignment in Orange, California. The position offers day shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with extension possible based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities include GI pathology casework, biopsies and resections, and maintaining appropriate California licensure. Applicants should have GI fellowship training, be able to work onsite, and comply with vaccine requirements. Competitive hourly pay of $215–$220.

Qualifications

• GI pathology fellowship required.
• Specialize in GI pathology including luminal, pancreaticobiliary, and liver pathology.
• Perform biopsies and resections.
• Liver specialization preferred but not required.
• Maintain California state license.
• Comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccine requirements (no exemptions).

Responsibilities

• GI pathology casework as part of a hospital-based practice.
• Perform biopsies and surgical resections as assigned.
• Work Monday through Friday, onsite, with a day shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
• Maintain licensure and board certification as required by state and facility.
• Complete credentialing within the designated timeframe, with emergency privileges available.

• Maintain valid California state license
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirements including current booster (no exemptions)
• Comply with flu vaccine requirements (no exemptions)
• Work within a hospital practice setting
• Complete credentialing requirements within the designated timeframe, with emergency privileges available
