Essentia Health in Duluth, MN seeks an Orthopedic Trauma surgeon to join a well-established Level I trauma program. The group features trauma, hand, reconstructive, and other subspecialties across 16 orthopedists and 11 NP/PAs. A dedicated trauma room and APPs support care; non-operative fractures managed by medical orthopedics. Commuting via Duluth location.

Practice Specifics

• Join a well-established level 1 orthopedic trauma program that is part of a large collaborative multi-specialty group
• Well established large collaborative multi-specialty orthopedic practice composed of 16 orthopedic surgeons and 11 NP/PAs. Sub-specialties include trauma, hand, adult reconstructive, shoulder and elbow, foot and ankle, pediatric orthopedics, ortho oncology, medical orthopedics/sports medicine, and podiatry
• Dedicated orthopedic trauma room 7 days a week. Surgical blocks are available for outpatient trauma cases.
• Dedicated trauma APP's manage consults and floor work.
• Medical orthopedics department will manage most non-operative fractures.
• Level 1 trauma center
• Population demographics favorable to large practice
• Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center is northern Minnesota’s largest hospital, with 344 beds. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• COMPENSATION: $622,119. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
