Job Summary

The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics seeks a Musculoskeletal Oncologic Clinician/Scientist (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor) to join the main campus in Morgantown, WV. The role carries a 70% clinical and 30% research component, with teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary orthopaedic sarcoma care, including pediatric and adult sarcomas, metastatic disease, bone infections, and complex amputee care.
• Participate in the WVU multi-institutional Sarcoma Board, meeting twice monthly to discuss cases across specialties.
• Involve in clinical research focused on translational sarcoma work, such as nanotechnology, immunotherapy, and immunodiagnostics.
• Deliver high quality patient care and uphold excellence in patient service.
• Engage in teaching activities for medical students, residents and fellows.

Qualifications

• MD, DO or foreign equivalent with eligibility for a West Virginia medical license.
• Completion of an Orthopaedic Surgery residency and a Musculoskeletal Oncology fellowship.
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal Oncology.

Schedule

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Exempt position.
