Kaiser Permanente - Santa Rosa Medical Center in Santa Rosa, CA, is seeking an Optometrist for a 3-month locum tenens assignment with potential extension. Schedule: Tue-Sat, 8AM-5PM. Pay rate: $155-$160 per hour.

Responsibilities include comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and urgent eye care within a medical center setting. Requirements: Active California Physician License, BLS certification, and Board Certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Active California Physician License is required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Board Certification preferred; Specialty Contacts experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive routine eye exams for patients ages 4+.
• Conduct contact lens fittings and provide patient education on lens care.
• Evaluate and manage eye urgencies and non-surgical emergencies.
• Provide medical optometry services, including diagnosis and treatment of common ocular conditions such as Red Eye.
• Frequently dilate patients for thorough retinal and ocular health evaluations.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Educate patients on preventive eye care, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations.
• No surgical procedures required.
