Banner University Medicine Ophthalmology Clinic in Tucson invites a fellowship-trained cornea and external disease ophthalmologist to join our growing faculty. The role covers surgical and medical management of corneal disease and comprehensive eye care at Tucson sites, with teaching responsibilities for residents.

The selected candidate will hold an academic appointment with the University of Arizona-Tucson College of Medicine, rank commensurate with credentials, and may benefit from tuition

Qualifications

• Board-certification or eligibility by ABO.
• Fellowship training in Cornea & External Disease completed.

Responsibilities

• Manage surgical and non-surgical care for corneal/external disease.
• Provide comprehensive eye care at Banner University Medicine Ophthalmology Clinic in Tucson.

The Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science at the University of Arizona-Tucson and Banner University Medicine-Tucson is actively seeking an Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease. This is an exciting opportunity for a Cornea Surgeon to join our growing faculty team. The selected individual will be responsible for surgical and non-surgical management of corneal and external disease, along with comprehensive eye care. Clinical services are provided at the Banner University Medicine Ophthalmology Clinic in Tucson and two medical center campuses located within 15 minutes from the clinic. Our residency program has 4 residents per year, and an enthusiastic commitment to teaching is desired. The preferred candidate will also possess an interest in clinical research and/or translational research.

The position will have an academic faculty appointment with the University of Arizona-Tucson - College of Medicine at a rank consistent with the candidates credentials, which includes a generous tuition discount for the applicant and immediate family members.

Qualifications include:

• BC or BE by American Board of Ophthalmology
• Successful completion of a Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease
