Job summary

Saban Community Clinic in Los Angeles, CA seeks an OB/GYN to provide full-scope women’s health care in a community setting. You’ll deliver prenatal through menopause care, perform procedures, and coordinate with specialists to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered service.

Board-certified/eligible physicians with CA license and OB/GYN residency are welcome; strong clinical skills, commitment to underserved populations, and excellence in documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution and OB/GYN residency.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in OB/GYN required.
• CA medical license and DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope OB/GYN care including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic, and preventive health services.
• Conduct well-woman exams and contraceptive counseling.
• Diagnose and treat reproductive disorders and infections.
• Perform gynecologic procedures (Pap smears, IUDs, endometrial biopsies, minor surgeries).
• Document patient encounters in the EHR accurately and timely.
• Coordinate care with internal and external specialties and ensure regulatory compliance.

Must work at least 28 clinic hours a week with 2 admin hours = 30hrs/wk. Open to alternative schedules such as 12hr shift

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope OB/GYN care, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic, and preventive health services.
• Conduct well-woman exams, contraceptive counseling, fertility evaluations, and menopause management.
• Diagnoses and treat reproductive system disorders, infections, and other related conditions.
• Perform gynecologic procedures, including but not limited to:
• Pap smears and colposcopies
• IUD insertions and removals
• Endometrial biopsies
• Minor office-based surgical procedures
• Conduct physical examinations; determine and implement courses of treatment; monitor results of treatment and adjust as needed.
• Proactively assists the patient and family through all facets of accessing care at the Clinic and elsewhere, serving as a resource to resolve patient and family concerns.
• Participates in improving the quality of care, including participation in peer review, setting clinical standards for medical support staff, and monitoring the quality of medical services to patients.
• Responsible for coordinating medical care with internal and external medical specialties as needed
• Document all patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow evidence-based guidelines and clinic protocols.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Nexplanon placement and removal
• Basic obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound

Position Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Valid, unrestricted medical license in California
• DEA registration and current BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of OB/GYN experience preferred
• Experience working in a community clinic, FQHC, or underserved population preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural humility.
