Job description

We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens position in California. This assignment requires 20 days of coverage, with urgent dates needed from July 24 to July 28, and 7-14 shifts between August 1-18, with additional dates for September to December to be determined. The schedule includes clinic hours Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with weeknight and weekend 24-hour call on a 1 in 3 rotation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with routine clinic appointments, consultations, C-sections, device-assisted deliveries, colposcopy, IUD placement, and endometrial biopsies. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an OB/GYN looking for a rewarding temporary assignment with the potential for extension.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with 1 in 3 weeknight and weekend 24-hour call rotation

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care in both clinic and hospital settings

• Conduct routine clinic appointments and consultations

• Perform C-sections, device-assisted deliveries, colposcopy, IUD placements, and endometrial biopsies

• Participate in shared OR time with other OB/GYN physicians for procedures

• Handle emergency C-sections and ER consultations during on-call shifts

• Collaborate with CNMs who manage most deliveries and serve as first call

• Utilize support staff including Medical Assistants, Medical Scribes, and LVNs in the clinic

• Work in a Nursery environment

Additional Information:

• Valid California medical license required

• Experience with Tenzing EMR preferred
