Hawai'i Pacific Health is seeking a dedicated Neonatologist to join our team on O'ahu, delivering high-quality newborn care at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children and collaborating with Queens Medical Center.

Be board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine; eligible for Hawai'i license and unrestricted Federal DEA certificate. This role includes teaching, research, and a balanced schedule in a vibrant island setting.

Qualifications

  • Be board certified in Pediatrics and board certified or board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Be eligible for Hawai'i Medical License.
  • Be eligible or hold a current unrestricted Federal DEA certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery room and intensive care services for newborns including ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, cardiac and pediatric surgery
  • Participation in research and education through the University of Hawai'i, John A. Burns School of Medicine
  • Teaching and mentoring of neonatal fellows, pediatric residents and medical students
  • Direct neonatal transports
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary care team which includes neonatal nurse practitioners, neonatal hospitalists, and pediatric sub-specialists

About the Opportunity

Hawai'i Pacific Health is seeking a dedicated Neonatologist to join our team on the island of O'ahu . Providing outstanding care to newborns at two hospitals, Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, which is a teaching hospital for the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) and consultant services for the Queens Medical Center.

What You’ll Do:
  • Delivery room and intensive care services for newborns including ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, cardiac and pediatric surgery

  • Participation in research and education through the University of Hawai'i, John A. Burns School of Medicine

  • Teaching and mentoring of neonatal fellows, pediatric residents and medical students

About Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit medical center delivers an average of 6,000 babies per year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The medical center is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
