Job summary

Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo, ND, seeks a BC/BE Neonatologist to join the region's largest team of pediatric specialists. You will cover the 40+ bed Level III NICU with 24/7 in-house coverage and collaborate with a team of neonatologists, NNPs/PAs, and other pediatric professionals.

Teaching opportunities with UND School of Medicine are available. The compensation package includes comprehensive benefits, relocation support, CME allowance, malpractice tail coverage, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• BC/BE Neonatologist with appropriate credentials.
• Experience in a Level III NICU and high-risk deliveries is preferred.
• Academic appointment and teaching responsibilities may be included.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert neonatal consulting and care in the Level III NICU.
• Assist at high-risk deliveries and post-resuscitative care of newborns.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, NNPs, and staff for transport and coverage.
• Participate in teaching medical students and residents.

Practice Details

Sanford Children\'s Hospital in Fargo, ND, is seeking a BC/BE Neonatologist to join the region\'s largest team of board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists.

• The LARGEST (40+ bed) Level III Regional NICU in the state of North Dakota
• Team includes 6 neonatologists, 14 staff NNP/PA plus per diems
• 24/7 in-house coverage by NNP/PA
• Supported by AirMed transport services with helicopter and fixed wing covering the tri-state area
• Over 300 Pediatric and Neonatal transports annually
• Assist at the time of high-risk delivery and post-resuscitative care of the sick newborn
• Largest team of more than 65 board certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists in the region
• Sanford Medical Center houses an 8 bed PICU, with additional flex beds if needed. Floor shared with 24 bed pediatric unit, and 40-bed Level III NICU
• Sanford Health Fargo serves a large catchment area of 1.2 million throughout ND, MN and parts of SD and MT
• Joint appointment as clinical faculty with Department of Pediatrics at UND School of Medicine and Health Science teaching medical students & family medicine residents as well as an upcoming pediatric residency in 2024
