Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Neonatologist to join the Neonatology Team at a Level III NICU on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain in St. Tammany Parish.

The role includes 24/7 in-house NNP coverage, participation in Vermont Oxford Network, and opportunities to contribute to system-wide neonatal QI projects, with a competitive compensation package, paid relocation, and signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Experience in Level III/Neonatal intensive care settings.
• Eligibility for Louisiana medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership in a Level III NICU with 24/7 in-house NNP coverage.
• Participate in Vermont Oxford Network and neonatal QI projects.
• Collaborate with neonatal subspecialists and transport teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

We are seeking a board-certified/board eligible Neonatologist to join our growing Ochsner Neonatology Team at one of our community Level III NICU located on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

Opportunity Details:

• The NICU includes 24/7 NNP in-house coverage.
• The NICU participates in the Vermont Oxford Network and eligible to participate in Ochsner system-based neonatal QI projects.

• Future growth: construction underway for a new 5-story Children's Hospital, opening in late 2027/early 2028 and planned expansion of neonatal services
