SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join a team of 11 anesthesiologists with generous call coverage and a strong compensation package. The role supports a 1:5 call rotation, with care across a 7 OR facility and a free-standing surgery center.

Compensation includes a $600,000 base salary plus a signing bonus, potential for bonus shifts, and at least 10 weeks of vacation, along with a comprehensive benefits package and CME allowance.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services across multiple operating rooms (St. Agnes Hospital and Fond du Lac Surgery Center).
• Manage general, orthopedic, vascular, cardiac, and obstetric cases as assigned by the call rotation.
• Collaborate with CRNAs/CAAs and surgical teams to ensure safe perioperative care.

Position & Facility Details:

The anesthesiology department consists of 11 Anesthesiologists and a total of 11 CRNAs and CAAs. The care delivery model is medical direction for all cases as well as frequent solo cases for the physicians. Overnight and weekend call services are covered by the physicians only. Call frequency is 1:5 including primary and backup calls. The daily schedule and assignments are determined by your position in the call rotation.

Anesthesia services are provided atSt. Agnes Hospital (a critical access hospital) and the Fond du Lac Surgery Center (a free-standing outpatient center). The main hospital is located in the heart of Fond du Lac, and the surgery center is conveniently located approximately two miles away.

St. Agnes Hospital utilizes anesthesia services throughout the facility in7 general operating rooms, one cardiovascular operating room, a hybrid cath lab,acardiac EPlab, 4 GI procedure rooms, obstetrics, and medical imaging. Case types include general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gyn, obstetrics, neuro (back surgery and crani), cardiac, cath lab, vascular, GI endoscopy, podiatry, and minimal pediatrics. We do not do interventional neurology or transplant surgery (except for rare organ procurement).

The Surgery Center has 4 operating rooms for outpatient orthopedics, ENT, pediatrics, plastic and cosmetic surgery, podiatry, and ophthalmology.

Cardiac anesthesia for open hearts, structural hearts, and thoracic surgery is optional and not required for this Anesthesiologist position. Please see the posting for the open Cardiac Anesthesiologist position if you are interested in joining our cardiac team.
