Job summary

NITELINES USA, INC in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a licensed Physician (MD or DO) to provide in-house medical care for the inmate population on a part-time schedule.

You will perform complete physicals, collect medical histories, document in the electronic medical record, and coordinate with consultants and hospitals as needed.

Applicants must hold a Texas medical license and submit a current CV with copies of education, license, certification and training.

Job description

NEEDED: Physician (MD / DO)

LOCATION: Fort Worth, TX 76114

SCHEDULE: 680 hours per year, 120 workdays, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess knowledge, skills, abilities, and a current, valid license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
• Serious applicants must submit a current CV, photocopies of documents evidencing education, license, certification and training.

JOB DUTIES:

• Responsible for providing in-house medical care for the inmate population.
• Will perform complete physical examinations, collect comprehensive medical and social history to include a review of all body systems, perform physical assessment in correlation with historical findings, record preliminary objective findings, examine and order appropriate diagnostic testing and provide necessary treatment and/or medications as required.
• Refer selected cases to consultant specialists when necessary and refer inmates requiring hospitalization to a community hospital and to an appropriate admitting physician.
• All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of medicine, and in compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations.
• Detailed medical record documentation must be maintained.
• Document accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record and will have all documentation completed by the end of the workday.
• Any recommendations for further diagnostic testing and/or treatment will be made in the appropriate section of the electronic record, pending review by the Utilization Review committee.
