Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics, seeks a Hematologist with a focus on malignant hematology to join its expanding team in Kansas.

The role involves providing inpatient and outpatient care for patients with hematologic malignancies (leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma) and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for clinical trials, research, and teaching.

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Internal Medicine is required.
• BE/BC in Hematology/Medical Oncology is required.
• Ability to be licensed in Kansas and Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient medical care for patients with hematologic malignancies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects.

Position Title Physician - Malignant Hematologist Westwood Medical Pavilion - West Position Summary / Career Interest: Physician - Malignant Hematologist

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics is seeking a Hematologist with a focus on malignant hematology to join its expanding team.

This position requires providing medical care for both outpatient and inpatient services for patients diagnosed with hematologic malignancies, including leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, and related disorders.

The malignant hematology physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, including pathologists, radiologists, radiation oncologists, transplant specialists, nurses, and advanced practice providers, to ensure coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities include participation in clinical trials, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects to advance the field of malignant hematology, as well as providing inpatient and outpatient care for patients with acute and long‑term complications of hematologic cancers.

The physician will also supervise, mentor, and teach hematology/oncology fellows, residents, and medical students, and actively engage in departmental and institutional activities such as tumor boards, case conferences, and continuing medical education programs.
