Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Medical Center in Austell, Georgia is seeking a Fellowship-trained Laryngologist to join our Otolaryngology service line. The incoming physician will help develop a comprehensive voice and airway program within Wellstar, a large integrated health system.

The role offers opportunities to collaborate with Speech-Language Pathology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, and Oncology, backed by institutional support and a robust referral network.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
  • Fellowship-trained in Laryngology.
  • Eligible for Georgia medical licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive laryngology and voice program.
  • Establish multidisciplinary clinics with other specialties (Speech-Language Pathology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Oncology).
  • Build and utilize a strong referral network across the Atlanta metropolitan area.
  • Lead clinical innovation in voice, airway, and swallowing disorders.

Work Shift

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible, Fellowship-Trained Laryngologist to join our expanding Otolaryngology service line at Wellstar Cobb Medical Center in Austell, Georgia.

This is a unique opportunity to develop and lead a comprehensive laryngology and voice program within one of Georgia's largest integrated healthcare systems. The incoming physician will benefit from a strong referral base, significant institutional support, and the ability to build a multidisciplinary center focused on voice, airway, and swallowing disorders.

Position Highlights
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive laryngology and voice program
  • Dedicated referral network from more than 35 ENT providers and a large employed primary care and multispecialty physician network
  • High-volume pathology including:
    • Dysphonia
    • Benign vocal fold lesions
    • Professional voice disorders
    • Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR)
    • Airway stenosis
    • Bilateral vocal fold paralysis
    • Dysphagia
    • Chronic cough
    • Neurolaryngology disorders
  • Opportunity to establish multidisciplinary clinics with:
    • Speech-Language Pathology
    • Pulmonology
    • Gastroenterology
    • Neurology
    • Oncology
  • Modern outpatient clinics with advanced diagnostic technology and in-office procedural capabilities

Procedural Opportunities

Applicants should be comfortable performing or interested in developing expertise in:

  • Awake laser procedures
  • Office-based laryngeal injections
  • Injection laryngoplasty
  • Vocal fold augmentation
  • Botulinum toxin injections
  • Transnasal esophagoscopy
  • Flexible laryngoscopy with videostroboscopy
  • Microlaryngoscopy
  • Airway reconstruction procedures
  • Endoscopic management of subglottic and tracheal stenosis
  • Laser surgery of the larynx
  • Dysphagia evaluation and management
