Job summary

Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Primary Care Physician/Family Practice Physician to deliver comprehensive primary and preventive care across ages in rural southern Colorado.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, supervising providers, and participating in after-hours coverage as required by scope of practice. The role requires an accredited residency in Family Medicine, board eligibility or certification, and a current Colorado license and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with accredited Family Medicine residency completed.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine required by the ABFM or AOBFP.
• Current Colorado medical license and Colorado DEA registration.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS as credentialing requires.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary and preventive care to patients of all ages.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions within family medicine.
• Prescribe medications per Colorado laws and guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care, referrals, and population health activities.
• Oversee and supervise advanced practice providers as assigned.
• Precept students, residents, and other learners; obtain hospital privileges and participate in call services as designated.
• Maintain nursing home privileges as needed and collaborate with local hospitals and community partners.
