Job summary

Qualifications

• MD/DO from US/Canada or ECFMG certification as applicable.
• ACGME or AOA accredited residency completed.
• Current unrestricted medical license in the U.S. or territories.
• Minimum 1 year post graduate experience within last 2 years.
• Current BLS certification with Hands-On skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical histories and physical examinations.
• Review required medical tests and documents for consultations and histories.
• Secure a thorough health history from the applicant and record findings.
• Assess applicant medical documentation and render medical opinions on fitness for programs.
• Apply accession medical standards to determine qualifications.
• Proficient in applying accession standards for military suitability.
• Provide the highest regard to applicant dignity and privacy.
• Abide by Privacy Act and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in MEPS local and medical peer reviews.
• Use the Red Carpet Treatment philosophy in interactions.
• Comply with installation policies and procedures.
• Access and update electronic medical documentation; respond to emails and research medical issues online.
• Effectively communicate with all parties and other providers.
• Other duties as assigned.
