Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Physician Hospitalist to join an established Hospital Medicine team in Auburn, California.

Key Workflow Details

• ICU Model: Hybrid/Open ICU; PMA supports 7 AM-5 PM; Hospitalists/Nocturnists manage ICU after 5 PM including critical care and procedures
• Census: 10-14 patients per Hospitalist on average
• Schedule: Day rounding 7 AM-5 PM; typical 5-7 day blocks; admissions during day shifts; ~2 weekends/month
• Procedures: Central lines; intubations
• Specialty Support: 24/7 General Surgery & Orthopedics; Cardiology on‑call 24/7 with 2 hours daily rounding; Nephrology; Tele‑Neurology (24/7); Tele‑Stroke (24/7); Tele‑Psychiatry; Urology (occasional); PMA consults 7 AM-5 PM
• Call: No call

• Comfortable practicing in a Hybrid/Open ICU environment
• Able to perform central lines and intubations
• Open to FM‑trained candidates with demonstrated ICU comfort
