Job summary

CompHealth is conducting a search for a hospitalist admissions role in Rhode Island. The position supports night coverage from 7 pm to 7 am, with a typical schedule of 12 shifts per month and a focus on admissions, cross-coverage, and rapid responses.

There are no procedures required, and you will sign out to daytime rounders at 7 am. Current EMR is Meditech with an upcoming Epic upgrade; compensation is competitive with sign-on and retention bonuses; employed position.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible; DEA required.
• Experience with hospitalist admissions and night shifts preferred.
• Meditech EMR in use; Epic upgrade planned.

Responsibilities

• Handle admissions, cross-coverage, and rapid responses.
• Night shift 7 pm–7 am; 12 shifts per month.
• Sign out to daytime rounders at 7 am; no rounding responsibilities.
• Maintain census of 5–10 admissions and consults per evening.
• No procedures required; focus on admissions and coverage.
