Responsibilities include managing a 12-15 patient daily census for adults and geriatric patients, utilizing Epic EMR, and meeting licensure and certification requirements (Wisconsin license, board certification, BLS/ACLS, and DEA).

Qualifications

• Board certification in Internal Medicine is required.
• Active Wisconsin medical license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be current.
• DEA registration must be active.
• Experience in inpatient hospitalist coverage is required.
• Epic EMR proficiency for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage as part of a 5-6 provider team.
• Work variable PRN shifts, including day, night, and swing blocks.
• Manage an average daily census of 12-15 patients.
• Care for adult and geriatric populations, including PCU/ICU as needed.
• Respond to rapid response events and attend codes when available.
• Collaborate with intensivist support for ICU patients.
• Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and charting.
• Maintain board certification and Wisconsin license; BLS/ACLS up to date.

Job Title: Hospitalist
Location: Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin
Schedule: 12:00AM - 12:00AM x 2
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $165 - $177/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Hospitalist for a temporary assignment in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Hospitalist:

• Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage as part of a team of 5-6 providers, including physicians and possibly one APP
• Work variable PRN shifts, including day (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), and swing (10:00 AM - 10:00 PM) shifts
• Manage an average daily census of 12-15 patients per day
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Care for PCU patients located in the ICU as needed
• Respond to rapid response events; may attend codes if available
• Collaborate with intensivist support available for ICU patients
• Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation and charting
• Maintain board certification in Internal Medicine
• Maintain active Wisconsin state medical license
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Document inpatient services or related outpatient hospital services for a minimum of 10 patients within the past two years
• Comply with annual influenza vaccination requirement or provide an approved exemption
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirement or provide an approved medical or religious exemption
• Be available and able to commute in for shifts, as PRN shifts may not always be scheduled in advance or in blocks
