Position Highlights
  • Fellowship-trained, physician-led, patient-centered team environment.

  • General oncology practice, working with one other physician, with potential to develop special interests.
  • Established, reputable practice with a large referral base across multiple specialties.
  • Full infusion services including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
  • Support staff and teams, including medical assistants, infusion nurses, pharmacists, and an in-house authorization team.
  • On-site radiology, lab, urgent care, and pathology services, with nearby surgical oncology.
  • Autonomy in outpatient practice, with strong hospital affiliations.
  • Monday-Friday schedule, manageable on-call, and inpatient rounding.
  • Diverse adult patient population, with opportunities for growth and development.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Position Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive testing and treatment for hematologic and oncologic disorders.
  • Manage conditions like blood disorders, hematologic malignancies, and cancers.
  • Consult, collaborate, and refer to specialists as needed.
  • Diagnose and oversee treatments, interpret tests, and maintain medical records.

Qualifications
  • Completed or in-progress fellowship training.
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology.
  • Unrestricted NY Medical License and DEA, or ability to obtain.
  • BLS certification.

Additional Information

Salary range for New York residents: $367,611 - $610,124 annually, based on experience and metrics. We offer comprehensive benefits and incentives. OptumCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace, requiring drug testing prior to employment.
