Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician to join a hospital-employed team in Bakersfield, CA. The role includes joining two established Hematology/Oncology physicians within a full cancer program and comprehensive cancer center with infusion amenities and patient navigators.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm with potential for a 4-day work week. Board-certified or board-eligible physicians are welcome; DEA is required to practice in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology is required.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one is required.
• MD degree from an accredited medical school is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hematology/Oncology care to patients in Bakersfield, CA.
• Collaborate with Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and APPs as part of the cancer care team.
• Support and participate in multidisciplinary care planning to optimize patient outcomes.
