Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, KS, seeks a full-time Headache Neurologist to advance clinical care, education, and research in a collaborative academic setting.

You will provide comprehensive headache care, participate in inpatient consultations, mentor residents and fellows, and pursue scholarly activity, including potential clinical trials. Appointment at the University of Kansas School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience and achievements.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• Completed Neurology Residency (ACGME-accredited).
• Board eligibility or board certification in Neurology required.
• Licensure eligibility in Kansas and Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for neurology patients with a focus on headache diagnosis and management.
• Perform inpatient consultations and supervise continuity clinics.
• Participate in on-call coverage as part of the neurology team.
• Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in scholarly activity and clinical research, including opportunities for clinical trials.

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time Headache Neurologist to join its dynamic team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care. In this role, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for neurology patients with a dedicated focus on headache diagnosis and management. • Perform inpatient consultations and supervise continuity clinics.

• Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in both formal and informal group education settings.
• Engage in scholarly activity and clinical research, including opportunities to participate in clinical trials.

Required Qualifications:

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency program
• Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Neurology
• Eligible for licensure in both Kansas and Missouri

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of fellowship training in Headache Medicine
