Position Overview

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center at Shreveport seek a General OB/Gyn Physician to join our team in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Shreveport.

The hospital features new state‑of‑the‑art operating rooms, Level IV L&D and Level III NICU, recently renovated spacious faculty offices, and an on‑site team that includes fellowship‑trained faculty in MFM and Urogynecology, adolescent gynecology, and minimally invasive services.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• US board‑certified or board‑eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Louisiana
• Outstanding obstetric and surgical skills with an interest in clinical activities
• Commitment to the education of residents and medical students
• Robotics certification

Highlights of the Position

• 22 faculty including 2 nocturnists, 2 MFMs, 1 urogynecologist (+1 Gyn Oncology, 2 REI community faculty)
• One 36‑hour weekend shift every 5–6 weeks
• 28 residents
