Veterans Health Administration in Albuquerque, NM seeks a physician to provide direct patient care in a team-based setting using the PACT model. You will oversee and coordinate medical care for Veterans with colleagues across social work, dietetics, pharmacists, and care managers.
Qualifications include MD/DO with full medical licensure in the US, residency training, and eligibility for board certification for VA faculty status. EDRP participation is available with program rules and deadlines.
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval - award amount (up to $200 -000) & eligibility period (1 to 5 years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
To qualify for this position - you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation. Qualified candidates must meet eligibility requirements for a faculty appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico based upon qualifications and experience.
