Job description

Job Overview

BC/BE in Gastroenterology. Corewell Health Medical Group is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist for a full‑time position with competitive salary and a starting bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high volume interventional services (over 6,000 cases in 2025, 10‑12 cases per day per provider)
• Serve as a regional quaternary referral center with a broad established referral base throughout Michigan and beyond
• Provide services at Grand Rapids hospitals of Butterworth and Blodgett, plus multiple endoscopy sites in the surrounding region
• Manage patients in the inflammatory bowel disease and hepatology program
• Collaborate with subspecialists in a team‑based approach
• Provide teaching and research opportunities
• Work interventional endoscopy with full‑time commitment, including equitable night General GI call (1 in 18), weekend call (1 in 8), daytime interventional call (1 in 5)
• Cover outpatient weekly office work

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Gastroenterology
• Valid Michigan MD/DO license
• Proficiency in EUS, ERCP, advanced tissue resection, and luminal intervention
• Desirable knowledge of third space endoscopy, POEM, and endobariatrics
