Gastroenterology – Brainerd Clinic

Essentia Health Brainerd is part of an integrated health system that includes a 165 Bed hospital – St. Joseph’s Medical Center and a 100+ Physician Multi‑Specialty group, representing 25 medical specialties and providing care at 7 locations. The Brainerd Clinic is located in Brainerd, MN.

Practice Specifics

• Current team of 1 MD and 2 APPs
• 70% endoscopy, 20% clinic, 10% inpatient
• All admissions managed by IM hospitalist service
• Call: 1 weekend a month, 1 night a week
• Ability to practice “bread and butter” GI
• No buy‑in, no malpractice, no overhead, no seniority issues

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, including endoscopic procedures, clinic and inpatient services according to the outlined practice distribution. Manage patient care within the established call schedule and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Board certified / board eligible in Gastroenterology
• Per physician licensing requirements in Minnesota (including MD or DO licensure)

Location

• Brainerd, MN – located at the center of Minnesota with Delta Airport hub offering twice‑daily flights to MSP
• Population of 65,000 in Brainerd Lakes Area; regional service area of 115,000
• Approximately 125 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul

Compensation

Greater of $715,000 salary or floor. Eligible for additional compensation through bonuses, quality incentives, or production‑based compensation.
