Job summary

Novant Health Urgent Care in Myrtle Beach is seeking a physician to join our growing urgent care team. You will work with dedicated staff to deliver high-quality care to patients aged 6 months and up in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO with board certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine, has SC licensure, and is willing to work 12-hour shifts and weekends, with flexibility to cover other centers as needed.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or dual Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Active South Carolina licensure.
• Active DEA and SC Controlled Substances.
• DOT Certification.
• 2+ years of experience in family practice or urgent care.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.
• Willing to work at other centers as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates commitment to mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in urgent care settings.
• Collaborate with patient services representatives, nurses, medical assistants, and x-ray techs.
• Serve diverse populations aged 6 months and older.

What Are We Looking For?

Novant Health Urgent Care is currently looking for a Physician to join our growing urgent care family. The provider works with the support of our teams of patient services representatives, nurses, medical assistants, and x-ray techs to serve our diverse populations ages 6 months and above.

Do You Have What It Takes?

A good candidate will bring with them:

• Physician: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy Degree with Board Certification (Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Dual Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Board Certifications)
• Active SC licensure
• Active DEA and SC Controlled Substance
• DOT Certification
• 2 or more years of experience working in either family practice or urgent care setting
• Willing to work 12 hour shifts and weekends
• Willing to work at other centers as needed
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to reflect our mission, vision, and values through actions and conduct.

An ideal candidate would also have:

• 5 or more years of urgent care experience as a Physician
