The role emphasizes careful patient assessment, adherence to standards, and the ability to prescribe medications and develop treatment plans for recovery or health maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience providing general medicine, physical medicine and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
• Experience prescribing medications, treatments and health regimens to treat patient health issues.
• Experience collaborating with specialists to diagnose health conditions.
• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals to ensure positive patient experiences.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• MD or DO degree from a US medical school.
• Current State Medical Practitioner License.
• DEA and DPS registrations for prescription writing.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to provide patients with physical medicine and general medicine.
• Perform trigger point injections and joint injections.
• Coordinate with PM&R doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists to meet patient goals.
• Order labs and radiology tests; refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
• Analyze reports and records to diagnose conditions and propose treatments.
• Prescribe medications when needed and document treatment plans.
• Discuss potential side effects and verify allergies before treatment.
• Advise patients on lifestyle and diet changes to improve health.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with health privacy laws.
• Record complete, timely, legible medical records.

Job Overview

We are looking for an Physician to join our expanding team and provide patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services. The ideal candidate is an intuitive healthcare professional whose diagnostic abilities are only matched by their concern for their patients and who is able to perform physical medicine, trigger point injections, joint injections, PRP treatments or be trained to perform. The person in the Physician role will be responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients in our clinic and providing them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for care giving. They will be responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and/or promote a healthier life. The right candidate will have a passion for providing diagnostic services to patients and will enjoy working closely with other healthcare professionals in our organization.

Responsibilities for Physician

• Work with the team to provide patients with physical medicine and general medicine.


• Perform trigger point injections and joint injections.


• Coordinate with PM&R doctors, Physical therapists, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists to help the patient achieve their health goals.


• Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate and called for.


• Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.


• Our goal is to lower medications and give the patient other options to help with their injury or pain conditions when possible. Prescribe medications when necessary, provide treatment regimens to treat the identified condtions and document the treatment plan.


• Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.


• Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.


• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.


• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.


• Record complete, timely and legible medical records.

Qualifications for Physician

• Experience providing general medicine, physical medicine and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.


• Experience prescribing appropriate medications, treatments and health regimens to treat patient health issues.


• Experience collaborating with specialists to explore patient health conditions and diagnose health issues.


• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.


• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.


• M.D or D. O. degree from an accredited United States medical school.


• Current State Medical Practitioner License.


• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing.
