Job summary

Unity Health Care is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine/Internal Medicine physician for our Primary Care team in Washington, DC. This PRN, non-exempt outpatient role provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages in a mission-driven setting.

The physician will focus on prevention, chronic disease management, patient education, and team-based care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve access and outcomes in underserved communities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Active District of Columbia medical license and current DEA registration.
• Commitment to serving medically underserved communities.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary care to patients of all ages.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct preventive health screenings and wellness visits.

Position Summary

Unity Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our Primary Care team in Washington, DC. This full-time outpatient position provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages within a collaborative, mission-driven healthcare environment.

The Physician will deliver evidence-based medical care focused on prevention, chronic disease management, patient education, and whole-person care while working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and access to quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary care services to patients of all ages
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform preventive health screenings, wellness visits, and patient education
• Coordinate patient care with specialists, behavioral health providers, and support services
• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support integrated, patient-centered care
• Promote culturally competent and compassionate healthcare delivery
• Support organizational goals focused on patient satisfaction, access, and quality outcomes
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school required
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
• Current or eligible medical license in the District of Columbia required
• Current DEA registration required
• Strong commitment to serving medically underserved and diverse patient populations
• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Experience in community health, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), or ambulatory care settings preferred
