Practice Details

Marshfield Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join our well-established primary care practice in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

• Busy 100% outpatient clinic practice located at the flagship site
• Enjoy a well-supported department with its own Pharmacist, Behavioral Health Integrated Care Nurse, Psychologist and Diabetic Educator
• Nurse line is 1st call and call is 1:20 (phone call only)
• Excellent work-life balance (support for job sharing) 4-day work week flexibility
• Opportunity to provide medical coverage at Norwood Health Center (Local Psychiatric Facility)
• Medical Director opportunity available if interested.

Option A: Full Time Clinical Role

Option B: Full Time Clinical (80%) and Community Project Engagement (20%)

Protected Time Dedicated to a Community Health ProjectThrough a grant from the Orion Initiative, a grant program within the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, is able to offer 20% protected time for three years for a physician to lead a community health project.

That means 20% of the physician’s time in this full-time position will be dedicated to a community health project, with the remaining 80% focused on clinical care. This is a unique opportunity for physicians who want to make an impact beyond the clinic walls while addressing a health need in the community.

A community health project is a project that:

• Serves the community where the rural hospital or clinic is located or a community within its service area
• Seeks to improve health or address a specific health condition or broader determinant of health, such as healthy lifestyles, disease prevention and control or environmental factors that negatively impact health
• Does not involve political campaign activity, lobbying or partisan advocacy
