Thrive Here.**Additional Job Description:**The **WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute** and **Department of Neurology at West Virginia University School of Medicine** are seeking an **Epilepsy Specialist** qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.WVU Medicine maintains a **Level IV Comprehensive Epilepsy program**. The Epilepsy Center includes hardwired video-EEG monitory units for both adults and pediatrics. The facility also features neuroimaging support including spectroscopic MRI and quantitative PET scans.The **WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI)** is a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care, education, and research institute providing neurological and mental healthcare through more than 300,000 visits annually. The 300+ physicians and scientists of the RNI improve lives by pioneering advances in neuroscience, brain health, and therapeutics. The RNI team uses the latest technologies with academic, government, and industry partners to make tangible progress to combat public health challenges ranging from addiction to Alzheimer’s disease.The **Department of Neurology** provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary care for epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, brain injuries, headache disorders, multiple sclerosis, cancer, sleep medicine, neuromuscular disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer’s disease. WVU is a Joint Commission approved Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center.Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of neurology and epilepsy. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed a neurology residency program, as well as epilepsy or neurophysiology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in neurology and epilepsy/neurophysiology.
