Job summary

Palm Careers has an urgent need for an experienced Emergency Medicine physician to cover a locum assignment in Washington. Start ASAP and ongoing through 2027, with a preference for full-time coverage and about 2 weeks (15 shifts) per month.

Shifts include day, evening, overnight, weekends, and some holidays in a mostly low- to medium-to-high-acuity ED using Epic. Candidates must be MD/DO, ABEM/AOBEM board eligible/certified, hold a Washington license (IMLC not accepted), DEA, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree.
• Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM).
• Active Washington medical license (IMLC not accepted).
• DEA certification.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Emergency Medicine residency completed.
• At least 2 years EM experience.
• Clean background and malpractice history.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine coverage in a busy ED setting.
• Work varied shift schedules including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Emergency Medicine opportunity.

Position Details

• Start: ASAP, as soon as credentialed (emergency/temporary privileges)
• Commitment: Ongoing need through 2027; ideally about 2 weeks (15 shifts) per month, full-time coverage favored
• Schedule: Varied day, mid, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekends and some holidays
• Setting: Emergency Department; mostly medical, low trauma, medium to high acuity
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• MD/DO, board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
• Active Washington medical license (IMLC not accepted at this time)
• DEA
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Emergency Medicine residency and at least 2 years of EM experience
• Clean background and malpractice history
