Corewell Health Family Medicine SJ is seeking a physician for a new clinic in Saint Joseph, Michigan. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine is required or eligible.

The compensation package includes a two-year salary guarantee with a productivity-based bonus and a generous starting bonus. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with no weekend shifts, supported by two physicians and three full-time APPs, using EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Active Michigan medical license required or eligible.
• Controlled Substances license, and DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor medical needs of patients and families.
• Provide quality, cost-conscious medical care and cover caseload as needed.
• Supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
• Document in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with health team to ensure continuity of care.

Appointments of 15 or 30 minutes include; acutes, follow ups, physical exams, new patients, pediatric care, paps and pelvics, and typical primary care procedures; I & D, joint injections. The team includes 2 physicians and 3 full-time APPs. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. No weekends.

Fluency dictation available. We are also excited to offer Abridge, a generative AI platform for clinical conversations, which allows you to focus on your patients and improve efficiency. Corewell Health utilizes EPIC as our EHR.

Essential Functions

• Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
• Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
• Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
• Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
• Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
• Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
• Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.
• Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.

Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
