Job summary

You must hold an MD or DO from an accredited program, possess an active Arizona medical license, BLS certification, and a valid DEA license. Strong communication and teamwork are required to thrive in a value-based, integrated care setting.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Arizona medical license.
• Graduation from an accredited MD or DO program.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated skill in interpersonal relationships and communication with colleagues and patients.
• Full engagement in an integrated team-based care model.
• Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to a value-based care setting.
• Superior patient/customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• BLS certification.
• Active Arizona fingerprint clearance card.
• Active DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat clinic patients in accordance with standards of care.
• Follow levels of medical care and quality for patients and monitor care using data and chart reviews.
• Assist in coordinating patient services, including referrals to network resources as needed.
• Participate as a key source of medical expertise with the care team through daily huddles.
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor to foster cooperation in the practice.
• Complete medical record documentation in a timely manner.
• Follow policies and protocols defined by Clinical Leadership and BCBSAZ.
• Meet with departments to discuss quality of care, outcome data, policies, procedures, and records issues.
• Participate in potential growth opportunities for new or existing services.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies.
• Build relationships with healthcare providers, social/community organizations, and marketing partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
