Job summary

Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay, WI is seeking a Board-eligible/board-certified Internal Medicine physician for a full-time, on-site position. Join a growing practice with 3 other IM physicians and 2 APCs, offering a strong team-based, patient-centered approach and a generous benefits package.

You will provide broad-spectrum medical care to a diverse patient population, participate in after-hours rotations, and enjoy a supportive environment with excellent administrative and clinical

Qualifications

• Must be board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine.
• Must hold Doctorate or better in Medicine.
• NRP and PALS certifications required.
• ACLS certifications required for stress testing and coverage of after-hours duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad-spectrum internal medicine care for a rural population.
• Participate in after-hours call rotation and pediatric coverage (10 days/month on average).
• Collaborate with a dedicated team and use Epic for patient records.
• Mentor new graduates and contribute to a strong hospitalist program.

What We're Looking For

• Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician
• Join established group of 3 other Internal Medicine physicians, and 2 APC’s.
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Passion for serving rural and regional communities
• Team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
• Average patients of 18 per day, all ages
• After hours coverage of messages rotationally required and coverage of Pediatric Call, average 10 days per month with delivery attendance and newborn rounding (average 3-5 babies monthly)

• After-hours triage service to assist with patient calls and alleviate unnecessary calls to physicians
• Outstanding Hospitalist programs for all adult inpatients
• Autonomy and collegial environment
