UW Health in northern Illinois seeks a BE/BC Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our group as we continue to grow in exciting new directions. Our cardiology team is known for being the preferred group for cardiac services in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Active Illinois medical license required.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology (must be obtained within 5 years).
• Bi-annual CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a dedicated UW Health Heart Hospital lab performing echocardiograms, TEEs, tilt tests and stress tests.
• Participate in growth of new procedures including CardioMEMS, Watchman and TAVR.
• APP support to streamline workflow and patient management.
• Leverage a large referral base from 100+ PCPs within the medical group.
• Collaborate with medical students and residents; academic appointment with the University of IL College of Medicine at Rockford.
• Coordinate with UW Health and University of Wisconsin School of Medicine for specialty support.

Your clinical support includes the following:

• Dedicated UW Health Heart Hospital, with non-invasive lab for echocardiograms, TEE's, tilt table and stress tests
• Participation in the growth and development of new procedures and cardiac treatments, including CardioMEMS, Watchman and TAVR
• APP support to streamline workflow and patient management
• Large built-in referral-base from over 100 primary care providers in our medical group
• Opportunities to work with medical students and family medicine residents, as well as an academic appointment with the University of IL College of Medicine at Rockford
• Excellent tertiary specialty support from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
