Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Cardiologist for a 26-week locum tenens assignment in Longview, Washington. The schedule runs 2:00PM to 10:00PM, five days a week, with extension potential based on needs.

The role involves inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care, procedures, stress testing, and imaging interpretation, with on-site hospital duties and Epic EMR documentation. Washington medical license, ACLS, and board-certified or eligible status are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid medical license to practice in Washington state.
• ACLs certification and board-certified in cardiology preferred.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care, including admissions, consultations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Perform arterial catheter insertion and central venous catheter placement.
• Interpret EKGs with ambulatory monitoring and perform echocardiography.
• Manage call schedules and provide 24/7 coverage as needed.
• Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation and ensure accurate coding.
• Maintain compliance with vaccination requirements and licensing.
• Participate in patient rounds and multidisciplinary teams.

Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Longview, Washington
Schedule: 2:00PM - 10:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $261 - $281/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Longview, Washington. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular disease care, including admissions, consultations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions
• Perform arterial catheter insertion and central venous catheter placement
• Perform elective cardioversion and transcutaneous and temporary transvenous pacemaker placement
• Interpret EKGs with ambulatory monitoring
• Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography
• Conduct exercise or pharmacologic stress testing
• Administer antiplatelet, anticoagulant, and thrombolytic agents
• Perform emergency pericardiocentesis and tilt-table testing
• Perform coronary angiography and right and left heart catheterization
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and intra-aortic balloon pump insertion
• Perform elective pericardiocentesis and fluoroscopy use
• Manage inpatient rounding and admissions
• Participate in call schedule (1:6 rotation), including Monday through Friday evening weeknight call and 24-hour weekend call on Saturdays and Sundays
• See an average of 13 patients per day across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Provide documentation of surgical/procedural services performed within the previous 24 months, including diagnosis or procedure, date, and facility
• Maintain a valid Washington State medical license
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements
