Job summary

District Medical Group (DMG) in Phoenix, AZ, is recruiting a Physician Assistant – Vascular Surgery to join our Surgery department at Valleywise Health Medical Center. The PA will assist the vascular team, residents and attendings in delivering high-quality care to patients being evaluated by or admitted to Vascular services.

Acute Care training is required for applicants. We offer a strong healthcare package from day one, a 401(k) with employer match, four weeks PTO plus holidays, CME

Qualifications

• Acute Care training completed.
• PA-C certification required.
• Experience assisting in vascular surgery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• First Assistant for Vascular in the OR.
• Enter orders as directed by attending surgeon.
• Discuss imaging and lab results with the team.
• Draft daily progress notes and participate in rounds.
• Assist in teaching residents.

Physician Assistant – Vascular Surgery

DMG is actively recruiting for a Vascular PA to join our Surgery department. The PA will assist the Vascular team, including residents and attendings, in delivering high-quality care to patients being evaluated by or admitted to Vascular services at Valleywise Health Medical Center (VWMC). Applicants must have completed Acute Care training.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate patients, including performing history and physical examinations, in both the inpatient and outpatient (clinic) setting
• First Assist for Vascular in OR
• Enter patient orders as directed by attending surgeon
• Review and discuss results of medical imaging and laboratory studies with attending physician, resident staff, hospital staff, and/or patients as appropriate
• Writes daily notes on patients and actively participate in team rounds
• Assist in the teaching of residents, as appropriate
