Job summary

Seward Community Health Center is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (Associate) to provide primary medical care in our small Alaska community health setting. Rural family medicine, pediatrics, OB, and women's health backgrounds are encouraged.

The position offers a salary range of $135,000 to $150,000 per year, with a $10,000 signing bonus, CME allowance, PTO, and potential wRVU-based bonuses. Enjoy Seward’s mountain-town charm and outdoor opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; PA program graduate.
• Alaska PA license or eligibility to obtain license.
• Two years OB experience preferred; five years primary care preferred; rural care preferred.
• Current DEA license; BLS required; ACLS/PALS/ATLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to patients of all ages.
• Assess and treat acute illnesses; manage chronic conditions.
• Perform exams, preventive visits, and screenings.
• Order and interpret diagnostics; develop treatment plans.
• Refer to specialists and participate in clinics.
• Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment plans, and prevention.
• Maintain EHR documentation and patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with SCHC Care Coordination Team for complex cases.
