Job summary

University of Maryland Urgent Care in Baltimore seeks a PRN clinician (NP/PA) to provide immediate care for a wide range of conditions in a multi-location urgent care network. You will work as a clinical lead in centers with medical assistants and radiologic technologists, delivering high-quality patient care to ages one and up.

Responsibilities include maintaining regular weekend coverage, serving as emergency on‑call provider, and collaborating with a close-knit team to ensure outstanding

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in good standing with the state of Maryland, or licensure pending approval.
• Active NPI number, DEA registration, and CDS license required or in the process of obtaining.
• Prior clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, intensive care, or primary care settings—whether as a provider, nurse, or technician—is strongly preferred.

• Provide care for patients aged one and older with a broad spectrum of conditions.
• Maintain at least two days of availability each month, including two weekend days.
• Serve as the ‘emergency on‑call’ provider for all facilities one day per month.

Job Description

This hourly ‘PRN’ position covers the Baltimore region of Maryland, with equal coverage across our Rotunda, Belvedere Square and Dundalk locations. UM Urgent Care providers serve as clinical leaders in our centers—delivering exceptional medical care, fostering outstanding patient experiences, and working collaboratively in a close‑knit team environment with medical assistants and radiologic technologists. Patients ages one and older are cared for, treating a wide range of conditions including upper respiratory infections, sprains and strains, lacerations requiring sutures, employee health physicals, work‑related injuries, and pre‑operative evaluations.

Work Experience & Qualifications

Compensation
