Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY is seeking a NYS licensed/registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist physicians in all aspects of patient care, including exams, data collection, diagnostic testing, injections, wound care and immunizations. You will participate in patient care management, teaching and staff development, with daytime hours.

Salary ranges from $99,000 to $165,000 for a full-time position, with benefits including health, dental and vision

Qualifications

• NYS licensed/registered NP or PA; NYS specialty area must align with practice.
• NPI number and Medicare enrollment or eligibility required.
• Initial certification must be current at time of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in patient care and diagnostic testing.
• Perform health assessments, data collection and referrals to physicians.
• Participate in staff development, teaching and in-service training.
• Educate patients and families on health needs and treatment plans.
