Job summary

HealthWorks for Northern Virginia is seeking a Physician Assistant to deliver medical services within a collaborative care team. You will work under the Chief Medical Officer to manage patient care from history taking to treatment and follow-up.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating with specialists while maintaining EMR documentation and high patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Must have a Virginia PA license.
• Board Certified or Board eligible; certification required within 1 year of residency.
• Maintain current DEA certification.
• Maintain current licensures and certifications; provide copies for personnel file.

Responsibilities

• Promote HealthWorks’ mission, vision, and values.
• Assist in planning and implementing HealthWorks’ health care plan for patients.
• Provide quality clinical medical care for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease and injury.
• Evaluate emergency situations and seek physician intervention when needed.
• Order and interpret labs and x-rays; diagnose, prescribe, and treat conditions.
• Refer patients to specialists when appropriate; obtain consults as required.
