Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Physician Assistant for a Primary Care role in Holyoke, MA. The PA will provide medical care under physician supervision, perform assessments, and contribute to comprehensive patient management.

The position requires MA PA licensure, DEA registration, and CPR certification. Psychiatry experience is preferred but not required, with strong teamwork and documentation skills essential for success in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program with a Master's degree.
• Current Massachusetts Physician Assistant License and US DEA registration.
• Current CPR certification.
• Psychiatry experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with EMR and healthcare technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the comprehensive medical care for assigned patients.
• Complete admission histories and physical assessments within 24 hours; follow-up notes within 48 hours.
• Prescribe medications or interventions within PA scope.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and uphold professional standards.
