Job summary

HealthTexas Primary Care Doctors in Texas is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide diagnostic and therapeutic care under physician supervision. You will interpret laboratory results and develop patient care plans while maintaining accurate, confidential records in compliance with HIPAA.

In addition, you will contribute to the growth and success of HealthTexas while upholding our mission, vision and values and collaborating with the medical team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program with NCCPA certification.
• Current Texas PA license.
• DEA license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review patient histories and physical data.
• Interpret data to determine diagnostic and therapeutic needs.
• Perform physical exams and document findings.
• Order lab tests and imaging as appropriate.
• Develop and implement working diagnoses and plans.
• Administer injections, medications, and prescriptions.
• Educate patients and families on health and treatments.
• Assist physicians and document progress notes.
• Support HTMG clinics and rotating Saturday clinic duties.
• Triage calls and provide clinical consultations.
• Conduct independent evaluations in emergencies.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and confidentiality.
• Participate in meetings and professional development.
