Responsibilities

• Assesses patient health by interviewing them and obtaining and/or updating medical history.
• Performs physical examinations and provides treatment and counsel.
• Determines abnormal conditions by ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care.
• Counsels patients regarding prescribed regimens, growth, development and health maintenance.
• Develops and implements patient management plans and records progress notes.
• Maintains a safe, infection‑control environment and adheres to safety protocols.
• Provides assistance to physicians during surgery or complex procedures.
• May prescribe medication.
• Performs other related duties.
