Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) seeks a full-time Physician Assistant in Pediatrics to deliver direct pediatric care within our team-based medical home in Tampa, FL. You will perform histories, exams, diagnoses, and coordinate treatment plans for children across age ranges.

You’ll collaborate with physicians and care teams to promote wellness, manage chronic conditions, and educate families. Florida PA license and PA-C certification with BLS are required; PALS welcome and pediatric experience

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Valid Florida PA license.
• NCCPA certification as PA-C.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year pediatric clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric care through health promotion, illness prevention, and health restoration.
• Perform patient histories, physical examinations, assessments, and medical diagnoses.
• Order, review, and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medications and follow-up care as appropriate.
• Provide education to patients and families on wellness, prevention and care management.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, medical assistants, and interdisciplinary care team members.
• Participate in daily care team huddles and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support care gap closure and patient-centered medical home goals.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, safety and compliance with HIPAA and organizational standard.
• Promote positive relationships with patients, families, staff and the community.
• Float throughout the organization as needed.

Position Summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our Pediatrics care team. This role provides direct patient care to pediatric patients through health promotion, illness prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, follow-up care, and patient education.

The Pediatric PA will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical leadership, and care team members to support high-quality, patient-centered care within TFHC’s team-based medical home model.
