Job summary

Keep Active Health & Wellness is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our medical, wellness, and aesthetic practice in Virginia. The provider will work in-person, independently yet as part of a team, delivering weight loss, BHRT, orthopedics/pain management, and aesthetics services.

Responsibilities include patient consultations, treatment planning, lab review, documentation, and education, with preference for aesthetic injecting experience.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Virginia.
• Appropriate prescriptive authority and required credentials for the responsibilities of the position.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• 2+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in a med spa, wellness clinic, physician office, dermatology, plastic surgery, orthopedics, hormone therapy, or medical weight-loss setting preferred.
• Aesthetic injecting experience is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of medical aesthetics, wellness services, BHRT, and/or weight-management services preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-education skills.
• Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient consultations, assessments, and follow-up visits
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide medical weight-loss consultations and management, including GLP-1 programs
• Provide BHRT consultations, treatment, and follow-up care
• Evaluate and treat musculoskeletal and orthopedic/pain management concerns
• Review laboratory results and make appropriate treatment recommendations
• Educate patients regarding treatment options, expectations, risks, benefits, and aftercare
• Complete accurate and timely patient documentation
• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and patient-focused clinical environment
• Work collaboratively with nurses, medical assistants, aestheticians, front desk staff, management, and other providers
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, promotional events, and practice initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge of services, treatments, products, protocols, and industry developments
• Neuromodulator injections

Position Overview

Keep Active Health & Wellness is seeking an experienced, motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing medical, wellness, and aesthetic practice.

We are looking for a provider who is confident working independently while also being a strong team player. The ideal candidate has experience in wellness, hormone replacement therapy, medical weight loss, orthopedics/pain management, and/or aesthetics.

Aesthetic injecting experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, providing excellent care, and growing with our practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient consultations, assessments, and follow-up visits
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide medical weight-loss consultations and management, including GLP-1 programs
• Provide bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) consultations, treatment, and follow-up care
• Evaluate and treat appropriate musculoskeletal and orthopedic/pain management concerns
• Perform clinical services within the provider's scope of practice and under appropriate medical oversight
• Review laboratory results and make appropriate treatment recommendations
• Educate patients regarding treatment options, expectations, risks, benefits, and aftercare
• Complete accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure appropriate consent and intake forms are completed before treatment
• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and patient-focused clinical environment
• Work collaboratively with nurses, medical assistants, aestheticians, front desk staff, management, and other providers
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, promotional events, and practice initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge of services, treatments, products, protocols, and industry developments

Aesthetic Responsibilities — If Trained/Qualified

Depending on experience, training, and scope of practice, responsibilities may also include:

• Neuromodulator injections
• Dermal filler treatments
• Aesthetic consultations and treatment planning
• Laser and energy-based treatments
• Laser hair removal
• Skin rejuvenation and skin-tightening treatments
• Evaluation of skin type and appropriate treatment selection
